Hi, my name is Phil and I’m an Employment Support Officer with the GREAT Project. The last couple of years has been a challenge for so many of us.
In order to relax and unwind, I have reconnected with my childhood passion for Lego.
Lego is a fantastic way to relax, build models and generally lose yourself for an hour or so. No rush, some things you can build quickly and some take months. There is so much pleasure to be had in just experimenting with connecting bricks together, if you don’t like what you are building then just start again.
If you spoke with my beautiful, tolerant and patient wife, she may not agree as our house has been taken over to a large degree by those wonderful, small, perfectly formed bricks. The loft has been converted to accommodate the ever growing collection of stuff (It is known by my friends as Phileas’s Lego loft)
I love scouring car boot sales, auction houses and charity shops looking for Lego and bits and pieces.
The point is; and this for me is really important, it helps me to relax, to ground me and supports my wellbeing. We all have hobbies, interests and things that are important to our well-being and for me it is Lego; for you it will be different. So embrace your interests, your passions, and whatever it takes to make you feel good.
