World Mental Health Day

The GREAT project shares experiences and insights to support the awareness of mental health.

This year, the impact of the pandemic has made World Mental Health Day all the more important. Joining the cause, the GREAT project will be sharing insights and tips from within the project – to emphasise that it’s okay not to be okay.

It is estimated that 1 in 4 people are impacted by a mental health condition in England, with findings indicating that high numbers are parents. To help encourage families to find support that is right for them, we’ve created an online resource library of support for Leicestershire families to use. This library is filled with NHS and local council resources, in addition to wellbeing tools, including audio clips and self-help guides. Across Friday and Saturday, the project will also share the quotes and experiences of individuals within the project, in addition to the tips and ideas that staff members have used to boost their own wellbeing.
